It’s that time of the year again where you’ll be enjoying BBQs out with your friends and family as you take in the amazing weather and laze around. But that doesn’t mean you have to compromise your diet when you’re feasting at a BBQ. Aside from indulging in your favorite food, we’ll be showing you how to enjoy yourself at a BBQ party while having the healthiest food that will fit your macros nicely today!

Skewered Meat and Kebab

Without a doubt, there will always be some skewered meat or kebabs available at any BBQ event you’re at. These are ideally one of the healthiest foods available thanks to their macronutrients in them. However, you have to take note that the chewy portion on some of these kebabs are in fact fat! If possible, always refrain from consuming the fatty parts of these kebabs and instead aim for the lean meat.

Turkey Bacon

Now every single BBQ would probably have bacon available, but try to find turkey bacon instead of regular pork bacon. Not only is turkey bacon leaner than pork bacon in terms of the fat content, but turkey bacon is generally larger in size and more filling, and packs a higher protein content compared to pork bacon. Aim for the healthier choice and your body will thank you for that!

Grilled Chicken Breasts

Often times, you’ll see burgers at a BBQ with either grilled chicken breasts or grounded pork patties. Try to get the grilled chicken breasts without the buns as they are the leanest protein source available in a BBQ. You don’t have to worry about getting fat with chicken breasts as your main course!

Corn on a Cob

Next up for vegetables, corn on a cob is one of the healthiest vegetables you’ll see lying around untouched during a BBQ. Try to get this one item down first as it is high in fiber and packs a whole lot of macronutrients!

Grilled Pepper and tomatoes

Following that, you are bound to see some grilled peppers and tomatoes being mixed in a salad so try to get that one down together with your lean meat too. Not only are peppers and tomatoes filled with vitamin C and antioxidants, but they also play an important role in your digestive health!

Deviled Eggs

To end it off, deviled eggs are a great way to end your meal as they are filled with protein and low in carbs. Consider eating boiled eggs if they are available as some deviled eggs have salad dressings or mayo which are high in fat content.
