When I was given the diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease a feeling of defeat, and almost hopelessness soon took place over my body which I felt was no longer my own. The frustration of the feeling that I would soon slowly lose function over many of the movements I had taken for granted my entire life. A month ago; however, my life took a dramatic change, for the better.

I was introduced to Andreas and Debra at TFW through an ad I had seen on Facebook, and I immediately went in for an initial evaluation. From the minute I walked in the door, I felt comfortable. After explaining my situation, he even gave me a guarantee that with a combination of proper nutrition and exercise I would finally regain control over the disease that I had thought was victor.

I also can’t say enough about your small group workouts.  I have learned that form is everything when it comes to proper weight training and exercise. By keeping theses classes small you are able to watch us closely so we get the max out of the workout and avoid injuries. The classes are intimate enough that everyone gets to know each other and inspires one another to do their best.

In just 5 months my body has really changed in ways I have never thought possible. My body proportion is much more even; it’s the first time in a long time that my hips have shrunk. I have lost 16lbs and have really began to tone up. My energy level has gone way up, along with my self confidence. TFW has really helped recondition the way I approach nutrition and exercise. My biggest excuse over the past decade was that I didn’t have enough time to go to the gym. Two kids, full time sales job, soccer coach etc…I can tell you this straight from the heart, that a few hours a week training with Andreas and his team & having them educate me on proper nutrition I have lost over 30lbs, my strength is almost back to college years and I am down to married weight. Next mission is to get my weight down to pre-married weight. Literally for 3 hours a week I can’t find a simpler way to build muscle, strengthen my core and burn fat. I can run around with the kids at soccer practice, I can climb a set of stairs w/out breathing heavily. It’s simply amazing to me how much I have accomplished. Without Andreas and his team working around my nutty schedule, or getting me fired up to compete and work out I believe I would be heading right into a heart attack. I train 6 out of the 7 days a week. I train twice a day two times a week. The thing I am most proud of is sticking with it and not giving up. Three months ago I was going down a path of depression, food obsession and feeling the lowest I have ever felt in life.” “My body has transformed so much in these last 3 months. Just the other day I looked back at my pictures and I notice such a difference in the roundness of my face, the shape of my legs and arms. I knew that the three months would come to an end but I have come so far that this semester I decided to commute and stay with my Coaches and my TFW familia so that I would continue to get stronger and reach my goals. I first saw TFW on FaceBook in January of this year. I was looking at what I thought would fit my needs, I joined the 8 week Transformation program at first to see if it was something that I could do. Well let me tell you, it turned out to be more than I hoped for and everything I wanted. Debra, my TFW coach, made me feel welcome and accepted, which was important to me as I was nervous and not sure if could do TFW. Throughout my time with TFW and with the coaches, I began to feel more confident in my strength training. We also do hurricanes, Warrior Training, which the names itself say it all. TFW is not about just getting strong, it’s a way of life.  It has taught me about my nutrition and eating habits, how to get the most of my training and how to keep a positive mindset and stay true to my goals. Not only what I would like to achieve and accomplish, but it put me in a state of mind where I feel good physically, mentally and spiritually! This is the best I’ve felt in many years. My body has changed. I’ve firmed up, toned up, gained muscle, shed inches, lost weight and all around look and feel better. TFW is not only a place where I want to be, I want to come to work out and look forward to being here!!!!! The atmosphere and the coaches are the best!!!! They really care about us!!!
