We’re keeping it simple this week with an all- encompassing list of the best tips you need to reach your fitness goals. How many are you currently doing?

  1. Keep track of your calories by using apps like MyFitnessPal.
  2. Drink more water.
  3. Focus less on long bouts of cardio and try interval training.
  4. Speaking of cardio, focus more on weight lifting with the goal of building muscle – you cannot tone a body with no muscle.
  5. Eat more protein – around .8-1 gram per pound of body weight.
  6. Eat 30 grams of protein within 30 minutes of waking up (thank you Tim Ferriss).
  7. Get no less than 7 hours sleep per night.
  8. Drink Green Tea.
  9. Get a fitness tracker like FitBit or Jawbone.
  10. Plan your meals ahead of time.
  11. Cook more.
  12. Hire a dietitian
  13. Eat more fiber.
  14. Never go food shopping hungry.
  15. Don’t drink sugary beverages – stick to water.
